We hopped in the car and jaunted over to the optomitrist and had Colton's new glasses fitted. Colton's eyes seem to be changing just about as fast as His height and we have needed a new eye glass perscription about every six months. When we are in PNG it won't be as easy as a quick jaunt to the nearest town to gethis eyes examined, rather a three hour plane trip to a larger town or a trip to Australia. We take our roads and stores and choices so much for granted. Knowing what life in PNG holds I try very hard to remember to be thankful for the blessing of so many choices. The crazy thing is that our life in PNG is one of the more convienient lives as we will live in a town with small stores and a few choices. Can you imagine moving to a tribe in a remote location with no stores, no electricity on demand, no cable or phone or roads. Just accessible by a plane or an impossible hike through mountainous jungle terrain. We are excited to be part of the support team of those people that have chosen to give up all, to minister to a people group that would never hear the name of Jesus if they didn't choose to go. We hope to be an encouragement to the missionaries that turn off their generator and only hear the sounds of jungle in a very dark night.
